Hello polish lovers! Today I have swatches of the newest Zoya collection for Spring 2017. Charming features 3 cremes and 3 stunning shimmers. The colors just scream springtime to me. Can’t wait to hear what you all thought of them.
I had a few issues with the creme formulas but the “dewy micro-sparkle” shimmers (as Zoya calls them) were pure perfection. I had hoped that the cremes would be that amazing one coat formula that Zoya has been giving us lately but they were a bit off, kinda thick and not as well leveling as I’d hoped. In general though they weren’t too difficult, top coat hid any imperfections and I believe the thickness will probably make them great for nail art.
Millie is a gorgeous magenta with purple flash shimmer, described as a dewy violet micro-sparkle. I used 3 coats for full coverage. This is one of those glowy lit from within shades that I love so much… also it reminds me a bit of my RBL shade Vixen just more purple leaning. 🙂
Amira is another favorite for me. This steely blue with silver shimmer and gold micro-flakes makes me think of a rainy spring day. Zoya calls her a soft dewy blue micro-sparkle. I used 2 coats for full coverage and it applied like butter.
Lacey is a light spring green with a ton of gold shimmer. Zoya describes her as a light dewy green micro-sparkle. Again shown here is 2 easy coats.
Jordan is a pale pink creme, described as a soft blossom pink creme. Like I said I thought these were a bit on the thick side and kinda streaky but not too bad. I think I got spoiled by those last few creme collections. Haha! 2 coats covered well though.
Abby is a pretty pale purple, Zoya calls her a light lavender creme. I LOVE this color! The formula was streaky but workable. Shown here is 2 coats. One thing I can say is these pastel cremes aren’t chalky at all like some pastels so that is nice.
Tina is a warm purple, described as a medium amethyst creme. This one was a touch thinner than the pastels. Again I used 2 coats with top coat.
I know a few of these remind me of older colors.. I also know that Zoya usually prides themselves on “no dupes” so I imagine there are differences. I’ll go through my stash to see what I have that is close. They look familiar but I can’t think of color names off the top of my head. Let me know if you all might be interested in a comparison post and if you can think of any similar colors.
