Hello friends! I’ve been on a bit of a blogging hiatus lately, thanks for sticking with me. Can you believe this was the first time I’d painted my nails since PolishCon two weeks ago?! Crazy right! Anyways, I’m back and have lots of things coming up here on the blog in the next few weeks. First up is this year’s Adopt A Shelter Dog Month charity polish from Aliquid Lacquer to benefit the ASPCA (see last year’s polish here). This time she’s teamed up with fellow dog lover, Twinkled T to include a set of puppy dog nail vinyls with purchase! 🙂
This year’s polish is called Dog Ate My Homework (LE) it’s a berry colored jelly with holo and irridescent microglitter, gold flakies and blue glass fleck shimmers. For this mani I used 3 coats of Dog Ate My Homework. Along with the pawprint, dog bone and one of the puppy silhouette vinyls from Twinkled T I used Hit The Bottle’s Electric Indigo to compliment the blue shimmers.
It’s hard to tell from the photo below but if you look closely you can see these Twinkled T vinyls feature a few different styles of doggy silhouettes, 2 different paw prints, fire hydrants and bones.
This polish is just dazzling, especially in the sun!
During the month of October only, you can get the Aliquid Lacquer LE polish, Dog Ate My Homework, as well as a sheet of dog-themed nail vinyls from TwinkledT for just $13! They’ll donate $6 from each sale to the ASPCA. They are aiming to collect $500, but can only do it with your help!
About the cause:About 3.9 million dogs enter U.S. shelters every year, and 1.2 million dogs are euthanized (800,000 of them pit bulls and pit bull mixes like our dog Trudy). Adopt a Shelter Dog Month seeks to call attention to the plight of these animals and to encourage people to adopt dogs rather than going to a breeder. No matter your preferences, you’re bound to find a rescue dog that fits perfectly into your home! Click here to read all about pet adoption!
I will have the video swatch and this mani uploaded to my YT channel a little later today. So head over and subscribe if you haven’t already!
