Good morning Nailistas!! That’s right I am finally early with some swatches! Living 20 minutes from the Zoya headquarters really pays off. 🙂 Today I’ve got 6 new shades from the Zoya Petals Collection to show you. These babies just scream springtime don’t they! Zoya really nailed it with their inspiration description…
“A flourish of beautiful blooming nail color! Inspired by the gardens of spring, this fresh and vibrant collection invites you to revel in the beauty of the season!”
Zoya Spring 2016 Petals Collection
They really are fresh and vibrant! Most of them applied beautifully as well… one not so much.
Leia is the one layering polish in the bunch. A sheer opalescent white packed with multi-colored glass fleck shimmers that give it an almost duochrome-y effect. I’ve worn it here with one coat over Zoya Purity and alone I had decent coverage at 3-4 coats. Smooth easy application.
Aster is one of my favorites. A delicious creamy periwinkle blue with pink, blue and silver glass fleck shimmer. The formula was wonderful, shown here is 2 easy coats.
Tulip is a creamy salmon orange with a touch of silver shimmer. I LOVE the color! The formula was a bit sheer/jelly like for a creme though, which made it go on a little streaky. But it evened out nicely at 3 coats.
Zahara is an orange leaning coral shade with blue / pink flecks. The jelly-like formula was a bit troublesome. She’s sheer and thick at the same time so it goes on pretty draggy. Also it’s one of those that pulls back at the tips while polishing. To combat that I just wrap the tip first and let it set for a second before painting the nail, it seems to help it stick. This is 3 coats.
Azalea is a stunning bright pink with white and fuschia glass flecks that perfectly captures azalea bushes in bloom. This is another top-pick for me. Perfect formula and application. This is 2 easy coats.
Laurel is a classic pastel pink with soft silvery shimmer throughout. Formula was on the thick side but still easy to work with. Shown here is 2 creamy coats.
Aren’t they pretty! I really love Azalea and Aster. Azalea already on my toes, it’s a perfect pedi shade!
Did anybody order these from the sale last week? Are any going on your new spring polish colors wishlist??
