But first let me show you this swatch of a piCture pOlish shade that has been on my wishlist since the day it was released.. Cosmos by Pshiiit Boutique. She is a stunning blue jelly jam packed with holographic particles. It has so much depth and is even more beautiful in person. Of course the formula was perfection in a bottle, she went on smooth with even coverage. Shown here is 3 easy coats with top coat.
And now for my piCture pOlish Nail Vinyls design! I was sent 2 pp shades Honeydew and Swagger along with the new ‘Right Angle’ Nail Vinyl decals. And I just couldn’t resist doing another negative space mani, you know I’m addicted to the whole negative space / peek-a-boo thing! 🙂 The pp shades were excellent and easy to work with, with that same wonderful piCture pOlish creme formula.
The Right Angle vinyls come in 4 sizes, I used all but the largest. And I’ve tried to show you as many ways as I could think of to create different patterns with a simple L shaped Nail Vinyl..
I’ve been using different styles of Nail Vinyls for quite a while so I’m pretty familiar with how they work. I’ll give you some tips on using them.. Of course always make sure your base polish is completely dry before applying them. And after you paint your second color be sure to pull the vinyl off while it’s still wet.
Another great trick to remember if you want to make evenly spaced lines – place a whole chunk of them on at once and pull of the lines in between using tweezers! So if you want 3 even stripes of polish peel off 7 vinyls all together, put them all on and peel off every other one. (does that make sense?)
Most importantly, make sure to stick them to your hand a few times before sticking them onto your nail! In the past I’ve noticed that they would pull up the base polish if you didn’t. This batch however seemed not only more thin (and a little harder to work with as they didn’t hold shape as well as the others I’ve used) but they were also much more sticky and left a gooey residue when you lifted them, that is if you didn’t get enough sticky off on the back of your hand first. I don’t know if she’s using a different brand of vinyl sheets or what but just something to keep in mind.
I love how they turned out but I think my thumb and index finger nails are my favorite. Which is yours??
