This post seems like it’s been forever in the making! If you remember I mentioned before having to wait for my new card reader to arrive before I could go through these photos.. Well, I had no idea that I took sooo many. I think there were about 300 pics of Each polish on there plus all the extra bottle shots and whatnot.. Holy moly! It took me forever to sort through those! I really need to try to start forcing myself to not get so shutter happy. It’s just so hard when the polish is so pretty! Haha.
Anywho.. Check out these pretty polish pictures!
The Different Dimension Echoes Collection
Who doesn’t love Pink Floyd. I know I do! The Dark Side of the Moon was basically the soundtrack of my high school years. So of course I was super excited to see this collection is based on some of the very best songs ever from one of my all time favorite bands.
To save time I’ll tell you now, for all the ones with jumbo glitters- it may take some patience to get them out. I just let the bottle sit upside down for a little while before I polish that way the bigger glitters can sink to the top of the bottle instead of the bottom. It’s always better to just wait than to try shaking it because you could end up with bubbles from trying to shake them to the top.
Comfortably Numb is a clear base with hot pink and yellow glitters in various shapes and sizes. It also has a splash of pink shimmer and a fine yellow microglitter throughout. Such a unique combo! It went on nice and smooth and all the glitters laid perfectly flat, even the jumbo hexes. I used roughly 2 coats over Zoya Jacqueline and topped it with one coat of Gelous followed by one coat of Seche.. to save time I guess I might as well just say now that I used that same topcoat duo with all of these swatches.
My surprise favorite of the bunch had to be Another Brick in the Wall, made up of hot pink squares, hexes and mega hexes with a dusting of holo microglitter and black and white glitters- some of which are rectangle shaped- awesome! I love the way pink and gray look together so I layered it over NARS Storm Bird. This combo has such an edgy, punk rock feel to it, it reminds me of graffiti for some reason. I used about 1 and a half coats, meaning I did a single coat then went back and filled in some spots and placed a few bigger pieces where I wanted them.
Time has a clear base filled with holographic microglitter and gray, black and holo purple glitters in lots of shapes and sizes including hexes, stars, circles, squares, diamonds and even hearts… I didn’t even realize the hearts were there until one just happened to come up with the brush. With so many large glitters this is one you kind of need to dab it on to get them placed where you want. But the end result is totally worth it! The base color here is NARS Ratin Jot.
Money matches it’s name perfectly! A milky white crelly base filled with neon green, neon yellow, gold, black, white and bright aqua blue glitters in circle and hex shapes. The formula was excellent the base was the perfect consistency to go on smooth and translucent enough to let the glitters show through. Of course I did have to work a bit to get the big circles out. I think it would be easier to grab them with a bigger bottle, wider neck longer brush an all. I used 3 coats by itself for full opacity. Money is even more neon in person, I had to check it in the dark to make sure it wasn’t a glow polish. ☺
Wish You Were Here is a super glitterbomb. It’s packed with fuchsia, blue, pink and silver glitters in a ton of different shapes and sizes ranging from itty bitty micro to medium and giant glitters. This is another one that takes some dabbing and placing to get the pieces on just right. I’d say this is roughly 2 coats over Zoya Rocky. I topped it with my usual Gelous / SV duo and I ended up adding one extra coat of Seche to smooth it a little more.
Hey You has a milky lavender colored base with smaller purple and pink glitters throughout. For some reason my camera wants to make the base look almost gray, but in person it’s more of a pale purple. I really like it. Definitely the most ‘delicate’ polish in this collection, she reminds me of springtime or Easter, very pretty and feminine. I used 3 thin coats with no undies, tho on shorter nails it could probably be opaque in 2 coats. Again a great application, the glitters spread just like so, I didn’t have to work with them at all.
And one more collage. You know me! ☺
I can honestly say this is one of my all around favorite indie glitter collections I’ve seen in a while. Just looking at these bottle shots all together- the bold colors and unique glitter combos… Amazing! I know as soon as I get some extra $$ I will be buying at least a few of them in the full size bottles.
Which of these is your favorite??
