Happy Valentine's Day loveys! I sat down the other night with a few bottles of nail polish and no idea what I wanted to paint, after a few hours I ended up with this.. What I think just may be one of my favorite nail arts I've done yet! Because I love it so much I took a Ton of pics and I could not pick my favorites so hopefully you'll like it too cause I'm posting them all. :)
These are all the polishes I used..
Zoya's Elisa, GeiGei and Jacqueline
GeiGei was my base on most of the nails then I used my French Tip Tip tool with Jacqueline to make the tips. I added a band of silver glitter with a Kiss Striper and freehanded the little hearts with an Art Deco red glitter striper.
On my thumb and ring finger I used my medium length liner brush to make the peek-a-boo hearts. I started by painting the inner heart on my naked nail (over a base coat of course, I use Duri Rejuvacote) with Jacqueline, then I just proceeded to outline it in the other colors, GeiGei, Elisa then Jacqueline again. On my thumb I was able to fit in 2 extra rings. Then I sealed in the design with a layer of Poshe topcoat. I just recently discovered Poshe and I Love it! It dries really fast and stays super shiny. And it doesn't give me any shrinkage with my Zoyas, that's a major plus.
As I'm sure I've mentioned before I'm terrible at freehand nail art so I am incredibly proud that my cut-out hearts turned out this good. Now if I can only decide which ones to Pin on Pinterest. Haha.
Zoya nail polish retails for $8 a bottle and is available at Zoya.com (this is my referral link) If you're new to Zoya you can get a coupon for 1 free polish of your choice by signing up with a new account, and if you add 2 more polishes to your order you can get free shipping too. (just thought I'd throw that out there) :)
I really ♥♥♥ this mani!

ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing job! I wanna see that wedding ring too :) PRETTY!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was my moms ring that my dad gave her 35 years ago. they divorced but I remember always admiring it in my moms jewelry box when I was little. My hubby was going to buy me a new one but when she said I could have this I had to take it. So we saved some $ and I got a cool antique ring. :) If you really want to see it theres a pic that shows the whole thing in this post. http://www.sassyshelly.com/2012/09/dotticure-featuring-my-zoya-for-sassy.html
