My little princess just turned 2 on New Years Day and she's finally got to that wonderful age where she actually wants me to paint her nails! So I've decided to do a special blog post featuring her manicure. :)
I'm calling it DD's Digits. Her name is really DiMera but we all call her DD or Little D and I thought it was a fun play on words since in text speak DD also refers to Dear Daughter or Darling Daughter.
We wanted to paint her nails for her birthday party so I told her she could pick out her color. She was so excited. She ran straight to my Helmer, went right for the indie drawer (or as she calls them 'sparkles') and grabbed
KB Shimmer Lilac Dreams. She held it way up in the air and yelled "Purple!"

She's quite the little fidgeter so please don't judge my messy paint job. This was the first semi-successful manicure we've managed, last time we tried she wouldn't stop touching them long enough for the polish to dry.
She was so proud of her "mommy nails".

ReplyDeleteToo cute!! <3 My 6 year old is always wanting her nails painted, I paint them, she peels off the polish the next day :\ Oi.
ReplyDeleteLol.. it didn't take long for her either. I think the glitter made it harder to peel but she managed to scrape most of it off with her teeth after a couple days. :/ Good thing most indies are 3 Free!

ReplyDeleteAdorable! If I had a daughter, I'd do her nails all the time. When I was last home, I offered to give my friend's daughter a manicure and offered her four colors to choose from--predictably, she chose them all. :-)

ReplyDeleteI like to share with you what I had the little princesses in my life for "Sinterklaas" last december. These nailpolish, especially for kids! You can wash it off with water! So they can paint their nails themselves and there are no bad chemicals in it which can hurt these tiny nails. http://www.herome.nl/index.php/prinses
